UI design
Every year there is a new tool for web design and development, and they keep getting better. This year, you can expect to use the following tools when considering designing a new website:
Figma
When it comes to designing a website, it is best to have the complete concept and prototyping complete before developing the site. To help speed this process, you can use such tools as Figma. Not everyone has the time to draw out each version for the layout. This tool comes in handy for the design process. You can start designing your prototypes, “Figma is the first interface design tool based in the browser, making it easier for teams to create software.”
Along with its many interesting features, Figma can generate a URL which you can share with anyone so they can interact with your prototype before development.
Sketch
Much like Figma, sketch is built for designers and has many of the same capabilities. One key feature that sets this tool apart is the ability to reuse some of the same designs. It also updates frequently, and many others have created useful plugins. For many designers, this is the go-to program when designing for UX/UI. Although you can add many different plugins, this comes at a cost, as it does slow the program down.
You can also modify multiple designs at once. This makes the process for streamlined. If you create multiple instances of the same design and want to change a small detail, you can do so without having to change each design individually.
Adobe XD
You cannot list design tools without mentioning anything from Adobe. This program comes with an insurmountable amount of image and design features. A great tool for importing design material UI kits. For example, you can import the IOS design kit for designing with IOS.
Adobe XD is designed towards creating quick sketches, rather than prototyping. It does not have the same type of prototyping features as either of the previous two tools. In addition, it is really easy to start a template off with whatever screen size that you want. This tool makes it easier to design for various screen sizes differently. Its live features set it apart from the Crowd.
